(reviews) Garden of Wisdom

This is my experience ordering twice from GardenOfWisdom.com
Shipping notice email: 2 days after placing order
package arrived: within 1 week of placing order (ships from Arizona)
Customer Service: always friendly, replied to my message within a day
Also: I did not receive an item and on the packing slip it was marked "back ordered, will ship ASAP"-- why didn't they notify me about this beforehand via email?... For anyone curious, that item took 2 extra weeks to arrive.

(I will update reviews as I use products)

ORDER #1:
Niacinamide Powder 1oz
review: I ordered the niacinamide powder to make a 2% solution to help repair my compromised skin barrier. People with rosacea should stay at 2% to avoid irritation/redness; normal skin needing help with acne or wrinkles can use higher %. I want to believe this is helping my skin but I don't know, sorry.
Pracaxi (wild harvested) Oil 0.5oz
review: I bought this b/c it's anti-parasite, antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic. Pracaxi is supposed to be good for acne, brown spots, and wrinkles. GoW's website says to use this in concentrations up to 10%.
Red Palm Oil 4oz
review: nourishing antioxidant to help with aging; lots of carotenes (vitamin A), vitamins E & K. This is supposed to help with scars and stretch marks... LoL this was solid in the bottle like Handy Snacks cheese!

Macadamia Nut Oil 1 oz
review: nourishing especially for aging and dry skin. Prevents waterloss in skin. Good for healing and repairing skin; anti-inflammatory. Rich in fatty acids. I like that this doesn't feel greasy.
Passion Fruit Seed Oil (#2 Enzymatic Smell) 4oz
review: definitely smells like passion fruit! lol Vitamins A and K. I bought this b/c it's anti-inflammatory and antibacterial.

Watermelon Seed Oil 0.25 oz sample
review: apparently the perfect moisturizing oil, friendly to every skin type, supposed to help fight dark eye circles and puffiness, uneven skin tone, wrinkles, elasticity.
Baobab Oil 0.25 oz sample
review: supposed to protect and heal damaged skin. Supposedly good for scars and stretch marks. I like that it absorbs quickly, makes my skin feel silky.
Rice Bran Oil (free sample included with order)
review: rich in fatty acids, highly moisturizing- good for dry and aging skin.

ORDER #2:
Colloidal Gold
review: "skin regenerative properties" I don't think this is making any difference in my skin but it makes me feel rich like Cleopatra 😊
Papaya Enzymes (green)
review: this exfoliant dissolves dead skin cells. GoW says to use up to 5% concentration. I read another blogger day she mixes the powder with water & apple cider vinegar to make a paste face mask, 15min then rinse. It's supposed to help with redness. Papaya is more gentle that pumpkin or pineapple.
Polysorbate 80
review: Poly80 allows you to mix oil and water- I'm using it to make a body spritz. I mix 2 parts Poly80 with 1 part fragrance oil before adding the water. If I were using essential oils instead (stronger), I'd use a 3 parts Poly80.
Avocado oil
review: antibacterial, anti-wrinkle, healing, high in vitamin E. Can be used as a carrier oil.
Carrot Seed oil
review: filled with beta-carotene and vitamins A+E so of course this helps with anti-aging, healing burns, scars, eczema, psoriasis; keeps skin glowing and healthy. GoW suggests diluting this in a carrier oil 10-20%. I feel like my skin is less oily when I use this.
Neem Seed oil
review: antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, antiseptic lol this oil sounds perfect for me and my type 2 rosacea! Good for sensitive skin and sunburns; helps healing process. Yup, that's why I bought a big bottle!
Karanja oil
review: antiseptic, anti-parasitic, insecticidal- Goodbye demodex mites and my rosacea!! GoW says to use this oil at 10%... I didn't read first and put it 100% on my face. It did not absorb and I was a greasy mess. No burning or anything bad tho. Smells a little nutty.
Tamanu oil
review: high in essential fatty acids, helps repair and regenerate damaged skin cells. This could help with acne, scars, stretch marks, eczema, hyperpigmentation- and rosacea because it's antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. I'm surprised how well this heavy oil absorbs into my skin.
